I have spilled Chinese food grease on my light brown leather boots I have two questions:
Does regular flour work as well? And does it matter if it is a light brown leather shoe?

Steps:

1. Blot excess grease with a clean cloth.

2. Sprinkle talcum powder or cornstarch on the affected area.

3. Let sit for at least 4 hours, then wipe off the powder.
