Make sauce in advance and put into thermos flask whilst still hot. This is particularly useful, as the sauce can be made well in advance before your guests arrive!
I do this when making cauliflower cheese, brandy sauce (at Christmas) etc., and it always works a treat.

Great tip, do you find any of the sauces split while they are in the flask?
I am from High Bentham and worked in Barrow until 2008 but now living and working in Slovenia! Say Hi to the Lakes for me, I used to drive through them every day!
