If you need to ask, you need to have an electrician do it. Too much potential for injuring yourself, or creating a situation where you'll have a fire, not necessarily today, but somewhere down the road. Please don't try to do it yourself from information on line!

You can't do this yourself. In states it is illegal. You need an electrician.

In Ontario, you MUST hire an electrician to do ANY home wiring. There are books for sale all over that tell you how to do it step by step. However, there is just too much of a chance with 220 to seriously injure yourself, including a fatal injury.

Hire an electrician or if you have a friend that is an electrician, have them do it. This is the one time that being frugal, is being foolish. Your life is priceless.
