Not unless you are using a recipe that specifically calls for self-rising flour and baking soda.

No. That's what self rising flour is. Flour that already has the baking powder in it. However you can use it for other things too like pie crust. It makes a very crispy crust.

She asked (and so do I) if you use baking SODA with self rising flour. I know self rising flour already has baking powder in it, but does it have baking soda?

And do I need to also substitute regular milk for the buttermilk if I use self rising flour?

No, you may have a mess when it's baking. That's why the flour is called self rising.
