If you are having trouble sleeping at night or getting to sleep, don't fight it. Get up and do the cleaning job around the house you hate the most to completion.

Now, this sounds like truly excellent advice! Cleaning is also great to relieve boredome - and you get in a workout in process. I have a chronically-depressed friend who sleeps waaaay too much, then complains how dirty his apartment is. If he took your advice, maybe his house and spirits would both improve!
I'm retired and love to read, but one can't just read all day. I exercise a lot - and clean a little bit - each day. Works for me.
