Please remember that aluminum foil uses the most energy of any synthetic product on the market. It is expensive and in most cases can be replaced by pure elbow grease.
Please stop polluting - those days are over.

I have never heard that before. Where did you learn about it?
The good news about using aluminum foil is that when you recycle it (and aluminum cans, and aluminum yogurt cup lids, and aluminum pots and pans, etc, etc, etc) is that 95% of the energy used to originally manufacture the products in the first place will be recovered because the original energy used to produce the metal is already trapped inside the metal :-)
I recycle mine after wiping it clean and reusing it several times.
I use parchment paper when possible; however, I do still use foil for some things.
Maybe I am missing something, but I don't get the connection between aluminum foil and elbow grease.
FYI - Aluminum foil is the one type of aluminum that can not be recycled.
Aluminum foil is so thin (even the heavy duty type) that it burns instead of melting and is vaporized in the process. My recycling company says this is true even if you fold it up into a tight square or ball.
