My wall is burgundy and looks dark, what color trim can I use to brighten it up?

I'd suggest glossy white if it goes with your decor!
Also, if your burgundy is too dark, you can go back over it with a tinted glaze of a lighter color using a decorative technique:

Taupe would give a subtle, sophisticated look.
Hot yellow would certainly brighten the enviroment, but about any light color should. If this is just one room, you could try about anything. Pick a color related to other colors in the room(s), High gloss will also add brightness, or a clear gloss paint over the burgundy might help.
