I found a recipe on ThriftyFun once for making my own fly paper. What a mess and a bigger waste! And the flies, along with every other flying critter, just ignored it. Plus, it dripped. I would hang it and let it dry for 2 full days. But it never failed, wherever I hung it, it still dripped and I'd have that stuff on the floor and also an any curtains or whatever around it.
It's easier, just as cheap, and much neater to get fly paper at the dollar store! I just bought a 10-pack for $1.00! And they don't drip!
I have that Magic Mesh screen (believe me people, it's fantastic! Just like the commercial!) on my glass doors, and I hung one fly paper way up at the top, next to where the screens part. Now the bugs go to it instead of coming in the house at all! I'm going to hang one on each of my other 2 doors today.
