Just think, no more worries about recalls on pet food!
Place chicken, vegetables, and rice into a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Stir in water until the mixture is smooth. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender and all of the liquid has been absorbed, about 25 minutes. Cool completely before serving; store covered in the refrigerator.

Thanks for this recipe! I was wondering if I could use different kinds of meat, as my dog doesn't like chicken! Also, can this be cooked in a slow cooker (crock pot)?
How much do you feed your dog and how big is your dog? Thank you for the info.!
I cooked the chicken, vegetables,a small fruit, brown rice every other day alternating the meat between chicken, hamburger, turkey and any other good left over meat from our meals. I feed them a real good brand of kibbles and their food is ready every day from the crockpot.
Wow that's fabulous! Would you share the recipe with us ? Thank you !
The recipe is in the original post, just follow this link if you are not seeing it.

From dealing with a Holistic Veterinarian, there is too much rice in this recipe. Do not use brown rice, for dogs have a difficult time digesting. Use short plain white rice, not Instant Minute Rice.
also dogs need some form of bone in their diet-i believe the recommended amount is 10 percent, also offal 10 percent xx
