Ask for 800 Numbers

When an out-of-state company you are dealing with starts to give you their regular phone number stop them and ask for their 800 number. You will be surprised at how many companies have 800 numbers, but tell their employees to give the regular number first. Save a bundle working with other people's money.

Another tool for locating an 800 number for a particular company is to call 1-800-555-1212. This is information for any 800 number in existence in the U.S. If the 800 number you want exists, the operator will give it to you. The best part? 1-800-555-1212 is toll free, so you don't pay for the call!
