I am decorating for a Church Reunion. This reunion is for everyone that has been a member of this church in the past, even if they are no longer members. We are expecting over 700 people in attendance. I need some ideas on decorating the tables and the fellowship hall. The first night will just be on the lines of a reception for the people to get registered and mingle. The following two nights will be a program and dinner.

OUR CHURCH JUST RECENTLY HAD THEIR 100TH ANNIVERSARY; THERE WERE DISPLAYS IN THE VESTIBULE OF THE CHURCH; IN FACT THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY SIX DISPLAYS OF ITEMS COLLECTED FROM CHURCH MEMBERS (PICTURES, CUPS, GLASSES AND OTHER ITEMS WITH CHURCH NAME, DATE ON IT; OLD CHURCH NEWSPAPERS, CHURCH BULLETINS, ETC.); THESE WERE ON DISPLAY FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS. THERE WAS A WEEK OF CELEBRATION WITH CONCERTS FROM CHOIRS (FORMER MINISTER OF MUSIC MEMBERS CAME AND DIRECTED THEIR OWN CHOIRS); FORMER STAFF MEMBERS GAVE TESTIMONIES, THERE WAS A "DINNER ON THE GROUND" WHICH WAS A FAMILY STYLE DINNER INTHE CAFETERIA AREA; TABLES WERE DECORATED WITH SIMPLE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS AND VOTIVE CANDLES.
THERE WAS ONE HALL IN THE CHURCH THAT HAD POSTERS AND TABLES FULL OF PICTURES OF THE DIFFERENT MINISTRIES OF THE CHURCH THROUGHOUT THE YEARS; SOME PICTURES WERE IN FRAMES AND SOME WERE PLACED ON DECORATIVE POSTERS; OLD CHOIR ROBES, TELEVISION CHOIR COSTUMES, ETC. WERE DISPLAYED IN THE HALLWAY DISPLAY.
IT WAS A FUN, BUT SIMPLE EVENT.
GOD BLESS YOUR EFFORTS.
