In Spanish, how would you say, 'word problems'? As in "I am having difficulty in math class with word problems".

Here;s a trick - you could just say in Spanish - mathematical problems with lots of words are hard for you - Something like Problemas matematicas con mucho palabras son dificil para Usted. It's baby talk - but you will be understood, more than likely. And that's the first level of communication....
In Spanish we only say Problems (Problemas) . They should be able to understand it that way, but if you want to add you can say problemas con palabras.
