Sweet Potato Pone

Ingredients

• 4 large sweet or regular potatoes
• 1 cup brown sugar (or white)
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1 cup butter
• 4 eggs
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• pinch salt

Directions

Grate potatoes. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs which have been well beaten. Mix potatoes, spices, milk and salt. Beat well and pour into a well-buttered pan. Bake at 300 degrees F for about 1 hour.
