I have long brown hair (to my bra in the back) and I don't want to cut it but I need some new styles. I'd like some ideas for some fun "do's". It's straight and has never had anything done to it. I'm a little scared I won't like what ever is done. So I thought maybe I could get some new ideas. If you could send them ASAP, i'd like to try them for a big thing that is coming up. Thank you.

My hair isn't that long , but I was thinking of
cutting it because I just couldn't get it to do anything.
I went to get it trimmed and decided to have it
layered. I still can pull it back from my face and it has more natural curl. I love it. I looked on line trying to find styles also for long hair, but with no luck. Good luck to you.
Do you remember the topsy-turvy tail? It is a hoop that kind of "weaves" your poney tail. I think that I may still have one, my hair is bobbed now (it was falling out like mad after I weaned my son, and had to chop it!) so if you email me your address, you can have it!
My hair is down below my belt and quite straight. It looks good braided and put up in a fancy hand-painted laquered clip I have. Also buns, French twists and a hairdresser will have more for you. Worth it to pay to be shown how. I have had 2 dd's weddings to do up hair for. Best wishes for your big "do" and day.
My daughter has very long hair at 10 years old and a favorite thing for us to do with hers and people think it is great is to. Make 1 large ponytale then seperate the hair into 3 different section and braid each section, it looks really nice, last night we went one step further tho, i then braided all 3 braids together, teachers and kids could not believe it at first they thought i tied it in fancy nots.
I seen in "woman's world" magazine a website where you can upload your headshot and test different hairstyles for free. I am going to do this, as I am tired of my same long style of ? yrs. The site is: www.thehairstyler.com, or www.makoversolutions.com. You can try either one or both. Good luck, hope this helps.
I have hair about that long, what i so it called a Figure 8 bun. I will try to explain it the best i can. First put your hair into a ponytail, then put a hair stick behind it take the pony tail and separate it into 2 pieces and take one on one side and put it behind one side of the hair stick, do this with the other side and bring them under the ponytail base and then back behind the hair stick and bobby pin it in.
My hair was past my butt (over 24 inches past my shoulders) & straight. I, too, just did simple things like putting it in buns & braids all the time.
However, I was purposely growing mine to donate to Locks of Love (www.locksoflove.org), where they use is to make wigs for kids with cancer.
It felt GREAT to cut it all off (about a month ago) & now I have nice, short hair that doesn't require lots of conditioner/treatments or time!!
Can't do much cuz of the weight of hair that long. you could put in a ponytail holder in at the nape of your neck and tuck the end of your ponytail into a split that you make in your hair just above the pony tail holder and then pull back through and down.
My hair is the same length. i am lucky that I have curly hair so pulling it back in a low ponytail works for me most of the time. I also wear it straight from time to time. When I do I have this same issue. (I have two little boys who are still in the hair grabbing stage.)
I tend to braid my hair into two braids on the hot days. When I want a classy updo that isn't jus a bun, I pull almost all of my hair up, leaving a litle in the front to pull behind my ear. Then I part my pony tail which is high on my head into about six diferent sections. I fold these into loops and pin the ends down. If Im nowt going anywhere fancy or don't feel like putting all that work into it, I just pull up the top half of my hair into a pony tail just below the crown and leave the little bit loose up front. I can pin this back so it blends into my pony or leave it hanging to put behind my ear as I please.
I also will do an upside down flip with my ponytail. I only pull half the pony tail through on the last trip through the band and leave a good bit of the ends loose. They will flop over the top of your makeshift bun and look very trendy.
Hope this has helped!
My hair is about halfway down my back. I can't stand it being in my face and living in Texas with thick hair I have to find something to do with it. Here are two ideas I have come up with:
Topsy Tail - you don't have to have that little deal that they sell on TV. Make a pony tail up high, stick your index or middle finger from the top down, flip the pony tail up and the put it through the hole where your finger is. TA DA
The thing I have been doing a lot this summer since I haven't felt well or felt like messing with my hair is what I call a pony tail and a half. I put the pony tail holder in and wrap around once. Then the next time I wrap it around but only pull my hair halfway or almost all the way through.
I hope these ideas help all of you with long hair.
I used to have long hair until my mom insisted that I cut it. Make the middle separation line and then tie two pony tails on both sides leaving loose hair down. straighten it and it will look neat and pretty.
Another one is getting the comb and combing it straight through your hair. Then tie a little pony tail in the middle leaving hair on the other two sides of your head and leaving hair underneath the ponytail. Then tie the other two pony tails leaving a lot of hair loose. Then get a hair straightener and straighten it.
I NEED HELP!! I haave no idea what to do with my long hair. It is passed my shoulders by about 2 inches and I dont know what to do with it except for a ponytail. Can anyone help me??
Hi Sarah! One of my fav. websites for long hair hair dos is: www.longhairloom.com
Go to the menu and click on Styling station central. I also found al ot of hair do tutorials on youtube. I personally put my hair in a ponytail and twist it, then I lay it up against my head and secure it with a hair clip.
