My son has a new pair of black nubuck (suede-like) shoes that were stored and now have mildew spots. We cleaned off the mildew but the spots do not go away. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Get a bit of dish wash soap and water and put it inside a cup. Put it in but don't let the water turn the color of the soap
Get the brush and gently scrub the nubuk
Don't scrub it to hard
Don't rinse it off with water
Just scrub it off with a towel
