We have recently started up a computer business in Bahrain. We do sell computers and parts with repairing and also do internet cafe and call booths. We have only started marketing through fliers. Business is moving very slowly. Please give us some creative marketing ideas on how to do the publicity and get the contacts with people.
Your reply would be most appreciated.

Take fliers where the people are such as parking lots, dry cleaners, and fair grounds. Good luck.
Find an event that happens in your area, like a car show. Contact the people putting it on. Offer to make them a website advertising their event in exchange for having your business listed on their paraphernalia (hand outs). Ask if you can set up a little table at the event and have some things to hand out (brochures with examples of how your business can help other businesses).
Another obvious thing is to make a website and get it posted anywhere and everywhere on the web. Focus on sites where you might get people interested in your business.
You also mentioned you have an "internet cafe", put some fliers up at local schools (college or high school) or hangouts of the local teens. If there is a local business where the younger crowd hang out try to get permission to hang some advertisements in exchange for the same in your business.
I'm not familiar with Bahrain so I'm not sure how much of this will help you out.
Use social media websites as free advertising. I have friends on Facebook who advertise their business this way.
I work as a business-to-business Telephone Marketing Specialist, so "working the phones" would naturally occur to me. I don't know whether your telephone plan is like mine; that is, unlimited local and long distance for one price per month, or better still, one that includes international calling. I say this next thing presuming you have a telephone plan like I described.
Consider purchasing or developing a "call list," that is, a list of possible customers. Decide what you want to say or can say about your business in one minute or less. That's about how much time most people will give you on the telephone. Think about the different ways people will say no, and how you can nicely try to change their minds. It's not easy, but it works. Be prepared to keep record of who you've called and what answer they gave so you don't keep calling the same people, and be prepared to get rejected. It happens to me all the time. Best to you in your new business.
