Medical scrubs make very comfortable cheap pajamas. They are available in a variety of colors and styles (including large sizes if required). I got mine from RMF Scrubs.

You can also by them used and that can save you even more money
You can buy them at the Dollar General too, but the real pajamas they have there are far more comfortable.
I always liked the very soft cotton ones; a little more expensive, but the comfort was well worth it to me when I was wearing them everyday.
