Heat fruit juices to boiling. Add marshmallows. Stir until dissolved. Chill until partially set. Fold in stiffly whipped cream. Line shallow pan with vanilla wafers. Cover with half of the fruit cream. Add layer of vanilla wafers. Cover with remaining fruit cream. Place in refrigerator. Let stand over night.

GGVI, I am just loving all these vintage recipes you're sharing and this one especially sounds so tasty and easy!
I've never seen one of these old Searchlight cookbooks, but I would love to own one. The recipes remind me so much of the ones from the old Settlement Cookbooks". Basic goodness in both.
These books were written during the times when women were very creative in their kitchens, and they'd have scoffed at some of the concoctions that are being called "recipes" today.
Thank you for sharing that wonderful old cookbook with us.

Many more to come. Hang in there. So glad you are enjoying them too.

Somehow I knew this had to be one of your great shares before I even got to the end to see who posted. : ) Did I miss your filling for the cream puffs? Thanks for sharing another thumbs up.
This sounds sooo yummy! Darn it, I always find so many wonderful recipes to vote for, even when I'm in the contest too. Nothing like voting against yourself, but this just sounds too good, and too easy. My grandson would love it! Thank you for posting it. I love the old recipes; back then they made real food.
