I had a woodpecker visit me today. (2-11-2005) We have and are still going through a blizzard that has dropped roughly 15 inches of snow. The birds are coming out of every where to eat the seeds and suet.

Wow what a nice woodpecker must have been hungry I had a little chickadee visit for a little seed!!!
We had a woodpecker visit during our last snow. It was kind of funny to see him try to balance on the edge of the feeder!

During snowstorms it is especially important to feed the birds. The snow covers up all their food and you will be amazed at all the birds you will have at your feeders.
What a cute downy woodpecker. I feed the birds also. Have lots of cardinals, woodpeckers, chickadees, tufted titmouse, juncos.
He is a wonderful bird! He is a Northern Hairy Woodpecker that has made his way down from his natural breeding spot from Ontario, Canada. The Canadian border is roughly 15 miles from where i live. I had the chance to get some more photos yesterday of him, and bluejays, and of course my favorite friends, the chicadees! the chicadees are so friendly. this photo i was lucky to get the chicadee in flight!
I think they are cute and I have one like him as well, and I also have a downy woodpecker that comes to my feeder quite often. It doesn't have to snow for them to come to my feeders.
