Cook noodles adding garlic clove, and drain well. Meanwhile, trim asparagus and cut into 1/2 inch diagonal slices; leaving the tips whole. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet. Add asparagus and mushrooms. Shake like popcorn for about 5 minutes, just until asparagus is tender crisp. Add noodles, remaining butter, and cheese and toss over medium heat until noodles are hot and cheese is melted. Watch closely.
