Pepper will be 4 later this month, and Eclissi will be 4 in April. Pepper is classic silver mackerel tabby with very close fur and well-defined nearly black stripes. Pepper is the size of a kitten, a very petite oriental type and cross-eyed.
Eclissi is parti-color mix, mostly dark chocolate brown and white. She has a way of looking as if she will burst forth with 5 kittens and never does. She had only two sons that found a new home last year together (Frenchy and Cappuccino). They look just like her.
Pepper and Eclissi were born in my home to my other kitty girls, Jazzmin the Cat and Andromeda. Pepper may be the little stone lion type, but she is not without her charm. She has a fabulous tiny oriental body and look and when she goes into season she comes to life. The rest of the time it is a surprise where she will be found sleeping next.
Eclissi likes to chase other girl cats around the house every day and have harmless spats that looks worse than they turn out to be. She can be bad, but has never really hurt another cat. Having two tiny sons improved her personality a lot.Eclissi is absolutely devoted to her sister Tanzy who she pals around with when awake. Tanzy is white and tabby-striped. They are twin-like so it was not surprising when Eclissi gave birth to twin males.
Both Pepper and Eclissi wake up every morning for the Pedigree or Alpo breakfast of cubes in gravy. They are upset about of the change in the Alpo. Am I wrong to feed them dog food? This food is actually very much like a food I used to get at Fedco that was for both cats and dogs. My cats thrive on various Kitty Krunchies, but about 16 of them are crazy for Alpo and Pedigree. The ease and convenience of buying and feeding them the saucy cubes can't be beat.
These two charismatic female cats can be found snuggling together under the work computer desk sleeping contentedly. They like me to put flannel sheets down for them. I'm happy to do so - just as long as they don't have anymore kittens down there! They sleep happily while the job gets done - just like a cat - asleep on the job! >^.^<

Beautiful kitty cats!
In answer to your question: No, the nutrients in dog food are completely different from the nutrients in cat food! Cats need to have taurine which is an amino acid in cat food that is not an ingredient in dog food and without this nutrient a cat can develop assorted health issues including severe heart disease. There are plenty of inexpensive healthy cat foods out there to purchase that would not cost any more than Pedigree and Alpo Dog Food.
Hello, they are just adorable. I have worked for a Veterinarian for over 27 years. Please do not feed your cats dog food. It is not healthy for them.
Again, please do not use dryer sheets (fabric softener sheets) on your pets! The cats are adorable! You make the comment you hope they don't have anymore kittens while under the sheet? I would like to hope you are a responsible pet owner who has their cats/dogs fixed. Many groups will help you with the cost if you can't afford it. Otherwise you are adding to the ever growing out of control animal population. So many cats and dog suffer with out a loving home, food and warmth. In some areas you must neuter or spay your pets. As for feeding dog food to cats it's not a good idea as it's not formulated for cats. You are doing more harm than good. I am sure you are a good person who loves her cats, but need to rethink their diet issues. Ditto if they are not "fixed."
