Rust Stain on Laminate Surface?

I just noticed a large rust stain from a paint can stored in the bottom of our bathroom cabinet. The cabinet bottom is a laminate type material. Any suggestions on how to remove the rust without destorying the laminate?

Try Barkeeper's Friend. It's a cleanser that you can make a paste of, and let it sit on the rust stain. I did this on both clothing and hard surfaces. It shouldn't harm the laminate surface, since you don't scrub it. Just let it sit for awhile, then wipe it off.

I have read several posts here on this Bar Keeper's Friend, so I bought some. It has done nothing for me.....doesn't even remove stains from my kitchen sink.

I can't see all the hype! Whink works well on rust stains.
