Fry the ground beef and add the taco seasoning with water as indicated on the package. Set aside to cool completely. Shred and spin the head of lettuce. Chop the tomato, green pepper and onion. Toss together with the lettuce, cheese and cooled beef mixture.
Just before serving, toss with Dorito chips and Catalina dressing. Delicious!

We've been making a very similar taco salad recipe for years and it is so yummy and fast to prepare! We even make the beef ahead of time so it's a snap to put together on a busy night. We don't add green pepper but we add black olives and use scallions in place of the red onion.
