its not the prettiest smelling and rather expensive, take a few drops of TeaTree Oil in palm and rub together and rub over skin area....like garlic to the vampires!! happy hiking.
skin so soft bath oil from avon!
Avon Skin So Soft is a great bug repellant
I use Skin So Soft bath oil also. I put some in a small spray bottle and keep it handy. Works great and smells better than repellants and surely is better for my skin.
Actually regular baby oil will do the same thing as Skin So Soft. Avon just doesn't want you to know this.
You can dab a small amount of lavender essential oil on ankles, wrists and I believe this keeps them away I am going to Turkey this year and get bitten terrible I have had all the sprays known under the sun but don't work so try this let us know how you go on. helen xx
Lemon Eucalyptus, Citronella, Lavender, Cedarwood, Lemongrass and Arborvitae are all excellent for their repellent qualities. Personally, I like to combine Lavender, Lemongrass and Cedarwood (10 drops each) in a 15 mL bottle, filling the rest with a carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil, grapeseed oil, even olive oil will do).
