I have done this several times for bottles of things I have around the house, when I just can't seem to get the last bit of lotion, shampoo, conditioner, or whatever the case may be out the bottle. My solution to this problem is put the bottle into a big cup that can hold it upside down. This saves you the time, aggravation, and do-over when the bottle falls over when you have it free standing upside down somewhere.

Good idea! I always turn the bottle upside down, but then have to deal with it falling over. I'll do this the next time I've got a bottle to drain.

I put the almost empty bottle of lotion in the microwave for a few seconds. The heat loosens up the thick lotion so that it's easier to to get the last drop. Watch it though ...
I put my bottle in a glass cup & zap it in short increments of time until it's liquid enough to pour into the next bottle of lotion I'm ready to use (after some is used to allow space). I also cut tubes up & scoop out the leftover lotion into a small jar or something to keep using the rest - and there's lots to be had!
Instead of turning the bottle upside down, I leave it right side up. I determine how much is left and using a box cutter, cut just above where the rest of the lotion is.
Oops! In my post from 1/21, I forgot to say I put a little water in that glass cup, then the bottle, to zap my lotion bottles!
Shampoo is easy, simply add some water to the end of the container and shake.
