Distinguishing Specific Metals Still in Ore?

I have a few metals and am curious as to how to distinguish the differences between silver, nickel, cobalt, platinum, zinc, etc. None of my metals are magnetic and some pieces are still in rock form. I also have copper and asbestos in rock form.
