My hanging baskets of petunias stopped blooming. Why did this happen? Thanks for your help.

Could be the spent blooms were not pinched off. This helps to keep them blooming all season. Keep them watered too.
I know with morning glories if they don't bloom, you're supposed to stop watering for a bit. Maybe try that.
If they are the petunias called supertunia, that has tons of flowers, I have found that they are forced so early and probably are fed huge amounts of fertilizer that they kind of tire themselves out. I would try to give them a real hard cut back. All they need may be a rest. There's plenty of time for them to come back. Let's hope we get some sun!
