Clothing Left a Cloudy Residue on My Leather Sofa?

I wore mesh shorts on my leather sofa and the shorts left a residue on the sofa. It's not sticky at all, just a cloudy residue. What's a good way to remove this? I've tried leather cleaner, soap and water, everything.
