Visiting the beach, late afternoon summer thunderstorms and dodging them are all part of living on the coast of Florida! I was with my partner fishing on the pier and caught this glorious storm rolling in as we packed our gear and headed for shelter.

Spectacular! I want a poster for my wall.. :) Thanks for sharing.
Beth Damon-Criner, although this is a beautiful photo I can't help but to wonder if you really find it fair and right to enter an amateur contest when you are a paid professional photographer who also sells some of your work as limited editions? Wish all of us who submit photos for the photo contest here at ThriftyFun were professional photographers like you are with the same advantage of knowledge and equipment at our disposal.
I also noticed that you have left no feedback for questions nor comments for other contest contenders in any category nor any thumbs up for anyone else here in any category to date; only have submitted your own photographs.
If had know your were a professional I would not had voted, Not fair!
Oh I agree with the other posters who are calling 'unfair' on this! I hit thumbs up before realizing the photograph was taking by a professional, I wish I could take back my vote.
Agree! Do not think it's fair to have a professional photographer in amongst us regular point and clickers! I wish I could take back my thumbs up!
Well, I see this photo has upset some folks. To me this is a gorgeous and dramatic shot of mother nature. My daughter isn't a professional but she takes pictures just as beautiful because she happens to have a pretty nice camera.
Hi Susan1958, going to jump back in to add some food for thought. Yes, Beth's photos are beautiful but what is upsetting to us here is that she is a paid professional photographer with an abundantly huge advantage over the majority of us ThriftyFun family members. We are regular folk trying to live a thrifty life and I doubt any of us here make anywhere near somewhere between $35.00 to $70.00 or more per hour (including travel time). I know I don't. I live on less than minimum wage as many others here also do.
There are many here who submit some gorgeous photos. Some were able to capture those shots because they have a good photo eye, some because they have a great camera, some because they got lucky with a shot or a combination of all three. But they are not professionals entering an amateur contest and they are hoping to possibly earn just a little bit of extra income to get by each month by sharing with everyone else here.
We amateurs don't have much of a snowballs chance in heck when competing with a professional who has all of the equipment including assorted lenses, lens filters, light meters, tripod and possibly computer enhancement software, too.
Just for the record, our contests are open to anyone who wishes to enter them. You can remove an accidental thumbs up rating easily by simply clicking on the "Thumbs Down' button. Or you can go into your account options to remove rating there.
Thank you for the submission, Beth. It is a beautiful shot.
