Keeping Credit Card Signatures Legible

To keep your signature legible on the back of your credit or debit card, just cover it with a strip of cellophane tape. This will keep it like new. A cashier told me this trick and it works!

better yet put ASK TO SEE ID on the back and then nobody can pretend to be you and use credit card

Better than that, don't sign it! My husband manages a bank, and signed cards can result in an easier - to - forge theft if someone steals your card. Instead, write "please ask for photo ID" - that will help ensure a match!

Sorry it took me so long to respond - I've been busy w/my son's wedding! Yes, it will work - despite what is printed on the card, there is no law requiring a signature on the back of your card.
