Asking an Out-of-Town Friend to a Dance?

My guy friend lives 20 minutes away. He went to my school last year but not this year. I want to ask him to Sadies but I won't be able to drive to his house. How should I ask him?

Call him or send him a note. Don't be bashful, good luck.

Call one of his parents first, ask if they can bring him to the dance, if they say yes, then ask him.

Just ask him and if he says yes say," That's great! Now we have to figure out how to get there." And go from there.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but you might want to make sure your school allows "outside" participants - that is, students from other schools - at functions like Sadie's first. It would be awful to get everything arranged and have the principal walk up and say your friend has to leave!
