Quality tea tree oil works wonders! I dealt with acne as a teenager (in the 80's) when all there was, Ten-O-Six and peroxide cream. The alcohol burned and the cream bleached! I took Accutane in my 20's and it "fixed" it for many years. Moving into my mid 30's, it started again in different places (more chin/neck area), and some of them deeper. I'm using Retin A, which works for general. If I feel one coming, I instantly get out the tea tree oil. It's not going to make it go away completely. It's a much faster "go away" process than when I don't use it, and stops many from forming.
After you wash your face and put on moisturizer, put a bit of tea tree oil on a Q-Tip, then on the spot before bed. It stinks and it drys out the skin. Use some Jojoba oil and a gently brushing of a dry cloth the next day. It's much better than sticking it with cortisone, which my doctor has offered a few times!

I had a similar skin problem in my 30's and learned several lessons. Do you sleep with you hands under your face and neck? That creates an "incubation" of bacteria there that causes problems. I learned to put my hands in the pillow case or under my pillow, to keep them off my face and neck. The other thing that really did the trick was to start taking zinc tablets.
I too had a bit of acne during that same time period as a teenager. I thought as an adult I wouldn't get acne any more. My main place of breakout was under the chin, top of neck area also. Always reddish with big, under the skin ones along with the red, pop out, look at me pimples. However, I've been using Proactiv for 20+ years and my face is and has been so clear. But if I go 2 days without using the product the pimples come right back in that same area. I don't want to do life without it. I will say though, you HAVE TO use it every day and give it a couple weeks before giving up on it (my daughter as a teen would say it isn't working when she'd use it occasionally and go to bed with her make up on).
