I got white paint on my cotton hoody jacket like sweat-shirt, and was in pain over it. Didn't notice it until I saw it in the mirror, at least an hour later. Thought, there is no way to get it out.
Then, saw a recommendation that said Goof Off would "work a bit".
I sprinkled some on, nearly soaked, waited a couple of minutes and, EUREKA, out it came with some scrubbing with a cotton bristle brush, firm but not too firm scrubbing brought it out.

I'm always getting paint on my clothes, usually splatters that I don't notice until much later. I've gotten it out a lot of times with brush soap. You buy it in the artist section of the craft store to clean your brushes.
I have found another solution for my tank tops when the paint will absolutely not come out. Since I only wear tank tops with blouses over them and never by themselves (aging arms, if you know what I mean), I just turn the tops around and wear them backwards! The stains are always right in the front. So, now they are in the back covered by the blouse. And, not only that, the tank top is not cut as low in the back. So, you have a nice higher neckline. This has allowed me to wear some of my favorite tops a lot longer.
