Boiling Water For Stains

Did a mystery stain appear on a light colored cotton shirt after it had been washed? This stain is often from juice that has dripped from a juicy piece of fruit (peach, nectarine, plum, etc.). When you first notice the stain, stretch it over a colander set in the sink and pour boiling water over it. The stain should disappear before your eyes. Use as much boiling hot water as needed until stain is gone. Lemon juice will also take away stains. Set out in the sun to dry after squeezing juice on the item.
