Samson ("Sammy" to his friends) is 5 years old. He is a Rottweiler and Lab mix. We got him in late May of 2004. Sammy was adopted as a birthday present for Mommy.
Sammy loves to walk (and walk and walk and walk), even in the rain. He and Daddy have matching raincoats. He also loves to run and jump, roll around on his back and play with his friend, Annie (the calico cat, also adopted).
He's nearly 140 pounds, but thinks he's a lapdog. Sammy has epilepsy, which makes his life and his family's a bit difficult at times, but he's loved just the way he is.

I also have a Lab / Rottweiler mix. I wanted the brains of the Labrador and protectiveness of the Rottweiler. Parker will be 11 this coming July and weighs a very solid 135 pounds. He is by far the smartest dog that I have ever had and to say the least, I do feel very safe with him. He is truly a momma's boy.
When he was younger we use to go hiking a lot, he loves to ride in the van, steal my shoes and hide them and listen to my husband play guitar.
He's 27 inches at his withers and his body is broad like a Rottweiler and he has the deep chest of a Labrador. To outsiders he looks like the largest Labrador that they have ever seen. Parker is my baby and is actually one of four dogs.
