Sunday Evenings for Shopping

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 519 Posts

My dear husband has found that it's easy to shop for groceries for us on Sunday evenings. Not only that, but they seem to have great specials. The flower bouquets of the week are marked down to $1 a piece to clear them! (and with trimming them and adding the preservative that comes along, they last a week or more.) So now I can have fresh cut flowers all the time!

Lucky you, Pam. Our local grocerers/florists would rather let them die is their containers than to take a reduction. Too much pride and poor judgment in this wealthy area! They won't even allow anyone to carry them out of the huge bins of left-over flowers being tossed. What a waste of joy and potential potpourri. : )

Great suggestion, but how fresh are the produce and the bakery items?

I like to do my Christmas shopping in the evenings at Wal-Mart after 10 because not many people are out shopping that late.
