Removing Hard Water Stains on Coffee Pot?

How can you clean coffee pot that has hard water stains already on it?

Best Answer

Fill your coffee pot a quarter of the way full with lime-away. Swish until the entire bowl is coated and let soak for 15 minutes or so. Swish again. Rinse well. Then put 1/4 cup of table salt in the bottom of the pot and fill half full with ice swish this around quickly letting the ice and and the salt scour away anything left behind from the lime away. Wash well and dry. We owned a diner at one time and this was our tried and true way to get well used coffee pots sparkly clean again.

Did you try soaking in white vinegar? Boiling water and baking soda? Effervescent denture cleaner?
