Does anyone know how to resuscitate dry gel pens? They appear to have a lot of color left in them but won't write.

I know you can get a regular ball point pen to write again by holding the tip (ball) of the pen to a lit lighbulb for a few seconds. It might be worth a try with the gel pens.
Normal ballpoint pens not working, first take one that does work, scribble or write with it. Then take the one stopped working, and go over the trail of the pen that worked, it is as if the one not working needed some lubrication, if it has ink, it will then start working.
You often can get it to work again by simply write or scribble with a working ball point pen, then go over it with the none working pen, then it will work. Much
If you blow in the end, it usually moves the clog out. But do not suck on the end or you'll have a mouth full of gel!
Blowing on them only makes them work for a second, as does soaking them in hot water. I've asked around and it seems they tend to do dry out. I have a set of 50 that all dried out shortly after buying them so I just avoid gel pens now.
All you have to do is
A. Put it in a container with rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes, then scribble it on paper
B. Use an alcohol prep pad a scribble on it. This takes away dry ink.
Take the ink cartridge out. Put the open end in your mouth and blow through the cartridge, at the same time scribble on paper until the ink flows freely, And you're able to draw a solid line without assistance. Blowing through the cartridge will get rid of any air bubbles and the scribbling will make sure that there's no dried ink clogs or anything like that.
