Could anyone please help me identify this embroidery stitch? I've been going crazy trying to figure it out, but I can't seem to identify it. Thank you!

Did you post a photo? I am not seeing a photo.
Editor's Note: The photo should show up now.
From the picture it looks like something done in 'cutwork' or 'drawn thread' as an overlay on a bottom fabric; might be a bullion stitch, too-hard to tell from the picture.
This site has some really good pics of cutwork embroidery in progress; she also has free patterns and instructions for other types-have a browse to help you identify the stitches used in your piece:
www.needlenthread.com/
Another good site (that unfortunately doesn't seem to have any images that I can find of cutwork) is: embroidery.about.com/
She does have some good images of drawn thread work, and you can use the search feature for bullion stitch.
Good luck, I hope you find your answer:)
It looks a lot like couching to me. That is where you lay a cord on the fabric and place stitches over it. But without a closer look, I'm not sure. HTH
Here are a few more pictures hopefully, this will help. In the first place I went to was Needle'n'Thread. Trust me, no help. Thanks for all the replies.
