Sock-It-To-Me Cake I

Ingredients

Cake:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 3 tsp. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 chopped pecans

Glaze:

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Mix sugar, cake mix, sour cream, oil and eggs. Pour 1/2 of mixture in a greased tube or Bundt pan. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Over cake mix in pan, sprinkle 1/2 of brown sugar mixture and swirl with a knife blade. Pour remainder of cake mix in tube pan and sprinkle remainder of brown sugar mixture over the top, again swirl with knife blade.

Bake in 325 degree F preheated oven for 1 hr. or till cake tests done. While cake is baking, in a saucepan, brown glaze ingredients. Set aside. After removing cake from pan, while the cake is still warm, pour glaze over top of cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow butter recipe cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • sugar (1/2 cup + 3 Tbsp.)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

Combine first 3 ingredients with 1/2 cup sugar in bowl. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour half of batter into greased and floured Bundt pan. Combine 3 Tbsp. sugar with cinnamon in small bowl, mixing well. Sprinkle half of mixture over batter in pan, cutting in with a knife. Add remaining batter and cinnamon mixture, cutting in as before. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until cake tests done.

WOW Thank You . I love this cake and take
it to friends who like it too. I buy it but have
noticed like all other things price has jumped
up and cakes get smaller.
I never thought to try it but now will.
