Use a wire brush to clean bristles and remove lint/dustbunnies. Spray with hot soapy water and let dry. Frayed ends could be trimmed.

Remove the dust bunnies, swish it around in a bucket of soapy water, rinse, shake it out, and set aside to dry.

I have also clean the tub with a broom, it saves my back and also keeps the broom clean....

While mopping (with Mr. Clean for now) I let it soak in the bucket. Some times I'll soak it in diluted bleach over night if it is REAL bad
