Cookie Lover's Ice Cream Parfaits

This sweet and delicious treat will bring a smile to the face of the one you love!

Ingredients:

• 20 individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
• 3 Tbsp. milk
• 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 18 chewy chocolate chip cookies, such as Chips Ahoy
• 3 pints of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream

• 1 1/2 cups thawed frozen, whipped topping
• Maraschino cherries and additional chewy chocolate chip cookies, optional

Directions:

In a microwave safe bowl, microwave caramels and milk on high in 10 second intervals, stirring occasionally, until melted; stir in chocolate chips until smooth. In each of 6 parfait glasses layer 1 cookie, 1/3 cup ice cream, and 1 Tbsp. caramel mixture. Repeat layering twice, ending with caramel mixture. If desired, transfer whipped topping to pastry star tip. Pipe in spoon topping onto sundaes. Garnish with cherries and cookies, if desired.
