Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Grease loaf pan with shortening or cooking spray.
Mix sugar, bananas, oil and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
About 60-70 minutes let cool. Loosen sides of loaf from pan and remove from pan.
Allow to cool completely before slicing.

I love this recipe! Have used it for decades!
My twist is, I bake it in a sprayed 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 square pan. It lets the better spread out and, not being as dense, it bakes faster and lighter.
