Stopping My Cat from Getting on My Car at Night?

I have a cat that lives in our barn. The cat gets on my car at night, now can I stop this?

Thanks

Please don't think that this is mean, because this is coming from a cat lover, but one way to stop that is to put cayenne pepper on the car. It doesn't hurt your paint job and it doesn't really hurt the cat, but it will certainly keep him from wanting to get on the car again.

What about a cover for the car? or old tarps and blankets?

The recommendation from a local TV anchor on the early, early morning show is to prop up a broom handle down, bristles up against the car. I don't know, but might not hurt to scare the cat w/it once or twice so it has a proper respect for it - haha!

Never tried it myself, but might work!

Aluminum foil. Cats hate the feel of it. Keep reusing it.

Just put moth balls in a mesh bag. Guaranteed to keep it off.
