I know that this question is going to seem silly to some folks; but, often I see the letters DH in reference to someone's husband. What does DH stand for? Dear Heart? Dumb Husband? Thanks in advance for clearing this up.

It stands for "dear/dearest/darling hubby/husband.
I always heard it stood for 'dear husband' but I really like yours better somedays "DUMB HUSBAND' thanx for the belly laugh

For me it depends on the day. May be Dear or Dumb or DUH! or Dat or (secretly when he's tracked in mud) DISGUSTING!
I've always used it to mean dear heart, dear husband, dear hubby...but I also like dumb husband (depending on what he has or has not done!).

Ok, this is quite scary - I only knew of about 10 of these, but just had to see if there was an actual list...there are lots of them so I just picked one. I had no idea there were so many abbreviations for email/texting/etc!!!
I always thought it meant "Darling Husband".
DH -- Dear Husband
DS -- Dear Son
DD -- Dear Daughter
But I love the idea of "Dumb Husband"! LOL!
