When my babies were able to sit up on their own (6 months), they enjoyed sitting in a laundry basket inside a regular tub. This kept their bath toys within reach and allowed them to hold onto the sides to keep their balance.
I would also use this method to have them in the shower with me so that I could actually have a shower while keeping them in sight. Face them away from water spray.

OMG! What a great idea. Taking them in the shower in the basket is genius. I love the idea of the basket in the tub and they can still play with their tub toys. Thank you for sharing.
What a great "using what you have on hand" idea! As a grandmother, I like this idea for taking care of a small child who needs an extra feeling of security while Grammy gives them a bath at my house.
As a mother of 4 grown children I gave all of them baths this way. No worry about them falling or bumping their heard did the same with grand children and now with great grand children.
