No need to respond. I used a distilled vinegar and water mixer and soaked the stain away.
Your lack of responses was most interestering....dur!
So happy you posted the solution, i have the same problem. thanks aye.
I've had the same problem with stains from spray suntan lotions. Not the sunless kind but the regular kind, I use it on my kids a lot and it ruins anything white or light. Oxyclean helps but many soakings are required and bleach makes it much worse. I have had to throw some shirts away.
Sprays are easiest with kids but I've had to stop using it.
Does anyone know what ingredient is causing the problem?
Lady Kate is right! We tried everything:
- oxyclean
- oxyclean high concentrations;
- tide treatment;
- spray and wash stain remover;
and, finally, 50/50 vinegar/water solution. The vinegar solution had an immediate effect.
Thanks Kate!
