The Right Way to Take Care of a Bloody Nose

When you or your child has a bloody nose, sit in a chair and keep your head level, as opposed to tipped back or forward. Gently pinch the nostrils together near the tip of the nose and remain in that position until the bleeding stops, usually about 3 - 5 minutes.
