I will be trying this for sure. I don't know how my apartment manages to get so dusty. I rarily open the doors and never open the windows. I don't know where it all comes in from. The management changes the A/C filters like every month to six weeks. I would appreciate any tips. Thanks.

Tell the apartment manager you want your central heat/air serviced-the unit itself. Be there when they do it because some people will say they serviced it when they didn't. I had this done and you would not believe all the leaves and trash sitting on the bottom it. I had a hose and the fitting that hooks up to the kitchen sink.

Attached it when the maintenance guy arrived and we hosed it out. Don't try this by yourself. I also purchased my own air filters, (good quality filters) and changed them out every 2-3 months. Some apartment complexes will give you air filters...the .99 cents cheap ones and they are NOT any good.

Dust comes from *you* and the millions of mites that live on your body and in your soft furnishings. Mites eat your dead skin and produce poop; the bulk of dust is those two things. It's all perfectly natural and normal.

Best thing to do is vacuum regularly and use upholstery attachments on your cushions, sofas, and bed.

fyi: Fabric softener and dryer sheets are very toxic. If you have ants, dryer sheets will kill them on the spot.
Look up the chemical ingredients in these products and you will never want to use them again.
