With a larger heart for the body, and two smaller ones for wings, you can create this very cute angel wall hanging.
Approximate Time: 1 hour
These angels can be made with any colors, as I am sending one I made with reds and purples, but I don't like the wing placement so I am not submitting it. For instance, you can make one of someones fav' color or colors.
Spring angels can be made with any pastel colors, then Americana (my favorite, but you can use red/white/and blue if you want) for summer, then golds, browns, and burgundies for fall, and of course reds and greens, and any holiday colors you prefer. I have always loved blue and silver or red and gold, but just about any color of angel is still "Perfectly Heavenly".
I hope you enjoy this craft. Of all the shapes I love, I think hearts are my favorite.
So, show someone you care, even if they aren't a "significant other" with this quick and simple gift, that will cost you about .50.
N-JOY!

Could you please be more specific as to the yarn/thread used? I get the gold lame thread, but the pink looks more like yarn.
I would be happy to. It's regular crochet thread like you would make a doily out of. I just double it for speed and being able to tie the tails in the back. The pink has gold lame' thread through it which you can get in other colors at craft supply stores. I use South Maid, Coats and Clark, and Aunt Lydias.
The pattern will be simple as soon as you get the hang of it. Just remember it has to increase by one stitch each row or it won't get wider.
I hope this helps Rosebud55, and if anyone else has any questions, let me know. Sandi/PBP
I have been trying to post this all day...sorry. For some reason, it just kept loading without actually loading. My apologies.
Thanks for getting back to me. I get it now. I'll see what I can find at the crafts stores.
Don't forget everyone that you can often find new craft supplies at thrift stores. I find whole spools of thread all the time, some for as little at .10 each. If it's still unopened or unrolled, it's still new.
Just in Sept of 2011, I bought 240 skeins of yarn for 120.00 so those kinds of bargains are out there. Watch Craigslist, ebay and yard sales, too!
I am enclosing a shot of just 60 so you can see they are new to me, but at an average of about 2.20 each new, I paid .50.
I hope that helps. PBP
This is so cute, and looks as though it's a quick make up, once you get the hang of it. I love the sparkle factor-just right, not too much, not too little.
LOL, PBP, I do the same thing whenever I am near a charity shop-the first thing I look for is craft supplies! I've not found much in the way of skeins of yarn (they call it wool here even if it's cotton or acrylic) but I do a lot of needlepoint (they call that wool tapestry over here in the UK) and last autumn I found hundreds of skeins of beautiful wool in a hospice charity shop.
Just after Christmas I found several yards of Aida cloth for cross-stitch in the OxFam charity shop.
